Backing out of a garage is something we all do without giving a though to what may be hiding in the area directly behind your vehicle. The only way to see the area directly behind your vehicle is to walk back there and look. Most of the time we assume nothing is there. Unfortunately, many bicycles have been damaged because of this assumption. Did you know that the blind area behind an SUV is large enough to hide a lawnmower? The real concern, however, is that children and pets can easily hid from a drivers view. The standard mirrors most vehicles come are equipped with do not provide any visibility directly behind the rear bumper.    

 There is a solution which will enable a driver to quickly and easily see behind the vehicle all the way from the bumper to several feet beyond the vehicle before backing up. An 12 or 18 inch round convex mirror or 12x12 inch roundtangular (rectangle) convex mirror placed close to the garage will provide drivers a clear view of the blind spot you can not see using your standard mirrors.  The mirrors are made of shatterproof plastic ( acrylic ) and made for inside or outside use. While child safety is our primary concern, damage to your vehicle from running into lawn equipment and toys can also be avoided.   Home safety, accident prevention and child safety can all be improved with a clear view around your vehicle.     

  An added benefit is clear visibility to know if you have pulled in far enough for the bumper or trailer hitch to clear the path of the door. One can also used a convex mirror to see the side and front of your car helping you to avoid scratching the pain or bumping into items at the front of the garage.
